CBD gives us all the mellow without any of the psychoactive effects of THC. This makes it perfect for any time of day, no matter where you are. It can provide alertness, relaxation and pain relief so you can make the most of your day. Coupled with other herbal ingredients, CBD can be even more powerful. Infused teas are a great way to enhance the effects of CBD with other herbal ingredients like mint or chamomile.

We’ve put together a list of our favorite CBD teas for every time of day. Whether you need a pick-me-up or something to help you wind down, CBD tea can do it all.

For a fresh morning—CBD Green Tea

Swap your morning cup of joe for green tea infused with your favorite CBD oil. The caffeine in green tea won’t give you the jitters like coffee or energy drinks, and paired with CBD, will provide an alert yet calm feeling. Additionally, both CBD and green tea are rich in antioxidants, which fight free radicals in our bodies from pollution and UV radiation.

All you need for this quick morning pick-me-up is a green tea bag of your choice and a CBD tincture or oil with a dropper.

For a midday treat—CBD Chai Tea Latte

If you’ve got more things on your to-do list after a long day at work, whip up a delicious CBD chai tea latte. Chai tea is caffeinated, so it will give you that little jolt of energy you need to avoid crawling into bed.

Here’s one of our favorite recipes for a CBD chai tea latte.

  1. In a large pot, combine:
    • 12 cups water
    • Leftover cannabis from making cannabis infused coconut oil or cannabis infused honey
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and add:
    • 24 or 12 chai teabags (24 for Iced Latte, 12 for Hot Latte)
  4. Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove satchel and teabags. Add milk or coconut milk and sweetener of choice for hot chai.

For pre-bedtime relaxation—CBD Chamomile Tea

Chamomile can have powerful sedative effects on it’s own, but especially when paired with CBD. Both of these natural herbs bind to different receptors in our brain, chemically altering our mood. To fall asleep quickly and wake up refreshed (not groggy), try this chamomile tea recipe before bed.

  1. Take a saucepan and start heating water on a high heat.
  2. Once the water starts boiling, switch off heat and add the dried chamomile.
  3. Keep it covered for a minute.
  4. Strain the chamomile tea into the tea cups.
  5. Add honey to taste (only as a sweetener, you can completely skip it), give it a swirl and serve.

Of course, our alteration to this recipe is to add your CBD oil. This will enhance the calming effects of the chamomile and provide additional benefits like pain relief.

Feel free to swap the loose tea leaves in any of these recipes for a tea bag of your choice. With a few drops of your tincture, it will be just as much of a CBD tea!
